March 2010: Plenary meeting 3 and 4 March 2010

On 3 and 4 March 2010, MERCURY held its second plenary meeting in Brussels. During a public session on the first day, Prof. John Peterson and Prof. Wolfgang Wessels presented first results of the project work under the heading "MERCURY to date: understanding the EU as a multilateral actor". Afterwards, Prof. Zaki Laidi (CERI, Sciences Po, Paris) gave a lecture on "Understanding the European Union as a Risk Averse Power". The session was complemented by insights on the EU and multilateralism from Matthew Baldwin (Director in DG Trade, European Commission). For further information, please see here.
